Fire Sprinkler System

Glass bulb sprinklers (VK102) installed for fire detection inside the chute in each floor. Fire safety codes strictly require gravity chutes to be protected internally by automatic sprinklers.

Specifically, sprinklers must be installed at or above the top chute intake, at alternate floor levels, and mandatorily at the lowest chute intake door. These sprinklers (usually fusing at 165°F) must be recessed out of the main chute area to avoid damage from falling materials.
